How can I reduce hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide levels in my car?



I have a 92 honda accord, can't pass emissions because to high levels of HC and CO. I know I have a bad egr valve that I'm about to replace so could that be the reason

    That is part of the anti pollution system, so yeah it could be all of the problem(or most of it). New plugs, air cleaner, ignition tune up will help to get you passed as well (if it is still mechanically passible).
